  1. Used to get sunshine at least 36o during long summer days, yet some people keeps nagging about it. You’re just too happy it didn’t reach at 40 o  HAHAHA..
  2. Employees in Dubai who gets a minimum and below minimum monthly salary used to live in one bedroom apartment with at least 6-person to divide the high cost of living expenses "literally bed-space"
  3. Getting a job offer in Dubai and the rest of Middle East countries is good enough. A tax free salary, 30day holiday per year with free plane tickets, health insurance, housing, transportation, food allowance as list goes on. (on this coming 2018 middle east countries will impose VAT,)
  4. Islamic Holiday are subject to moon sightings and may differ from the date given. You're not sure when you should book a flight during holidays, if you plan to visit other country.

  6. You'll have to drive hours just to purchase alcoholic drinks as it is not being sold in any supermarkets.
  7. Don't be confused. Dubai weekend is Friday – Saturday.
  8. Air conditioning is anywhere in Dubai, example Bus Stop. (Even fish market is now fully air-conditioned)
  9. Dubai is home to over two hundred nationalities.
  10. If it is 2-Star Hotel in Dubai, expect the service and facilities is the same with 4-Star Hotel that you won’t get any from the rest of the world.

Being such a fan of Disney's classic Beauty and the Beast. I was so ecstatic when I have found the newly opened Riverland here in Dubai, this place is actually a setting for Belle's hometown. A small provincial French city lined with colorful home, cobblestone streets and quaint shops.
Those French houses were designed for retail outlets and restaurants
You can find more than 50 different restaurants and retail outlets, as well as street theatre and performers.

Riverland is the gateway to the three main theme park namely; Bollywood Park, Legoland Dubai  Park / Legoland Water Park and Motiongate, unlike the main parks Riverland can be access with NO Entrance fee.(Hurray!!)

This waterbody connects the entire zones and visitors can be able to take boat rides.

Riverland Zone

Walking along the river and discover four different zones represent different eras, which fascinate me a lot. A medieval French Village showcases historic architecture of Europe in the late 1600s. India Gate designed to a mimic 1930s India with its vibrant colors and flavors. A 1950s sytle American Boardwalk, this zone set for casual diner and quick service restaurants. Surrounded by the river The Peninsula a (19th century architecture) you'll be able to enjoy various festivals, concerts at the large outdoor venue.

Part of exploring Arab countries is to visit the traditional souk market, Souks consist a variety of gold, spices, carpets, textiles, perfumes and food markets. But in Dubai when we say the term souk people seem to think more about Gold souk.
Gold Souk is occupying a large area in souk market located in Deira and, it has more than 300 jewellery stores. WOW can you imagine the vast amount of golden jewellery?
This one of a kind market place the majority of visitors are just walking around looking at the fascinating shop window displays.
Most of the shops are also offer platinum, diamonds and silver. The government keeps tight control over the quality of all the merchandise and rest assured that what ever you had purchases from here are genuine.
TIPs: beware some of the street vendors outside hawking "genuine fake" watches and handbags.
This place is worth to visit even if you have no intention of buying, just enjoy the atmosphere of shop  windows glinting with 18, 21, 22 and 24 carat of gold. By the way, gold prices here are among the lowest in the world and are largely determined by the weight, depending also on whether it is machine made of by a craftsman.
TIPs: gold jewellery has special offer and raffle draws during Dubai Shopping Festival.
Be sure you visit Kanz Jewellery shop as they displayed the world largest ring weighing approximately 64kgs according to Guinness Book of World Records. The ring is estimated to cost more than US$3 million and it has 5.1kg of Swarovski which is manufactured by Taiba of Saudi Arabia.

The largest gold ring has *2,200mm perimeter, *700mm outer perimeter, *490mm inside diameter, *500mm width of the back of the ring, *250mm width of the ring bottom. It took fifty five workers worked 45days continuously for 10hrs a day to make this piece. When crafted this unique piece in the year 2000, the gold price was only US$250 per ounce. Now gold price has gone high as to over US$1,600 per ounce and the value of the ring has multipled and is now worth US$3 million.

Planning to buy highest quality of gold, coloured gold alloy, diamond, silver in the future you may visit the most elite jewellery brands of Dubai: Joyalukkas, Taiba, Damas, Pure Gold Jewellers, Al Zain, Kaloti, Dhamani and Malabar.

How to go there:
Nearest metro station (Green Line) few minutes walk to Al Ras station, take Exit 2 ro Al Khor Street.
On my recent trip I got the chance to explore Jebel Jais the UAE's highest mountain located in Ras Al Khaimah. It took us two hours to see this fantastic driving roads view straight from Dubai. A curvy roads amidst the mountain range is a treat to drive.
I must say this is a perfect place for picnics during chilly days and an ideal place to watch the sunset. Yet there's nothing much to see from the top of this rocky mountain, but still looking forward to be back here once the weather is much more cooler and I also heard they're planning to build a massive holiday resort with cable cars, paragliding points, ski slope etc.,that people can enjoy this place specially during winter season.

Note: Toilets are available in limited areas. There are no shops/restaurants along the way so you have to bring plenty of food, water if you decide to stay longer.
Dubai can be also home of beautiful white sandy beaches. Al Mamzar Beach Park is on the border of Dubai and Sharjah (neighboring Emirates state). Guest can access the beach park from many entrances through designated gates for individual and cars entry. This place is  quite far from the nearest metro(Stadium), so from the metro have to take a taxi or ride Bus-28 from Gold Souk Bus Station.
We are having a worthy time in grassed picnic area and it has a pleasant green fields contains different kind of trees, flowers and wall plants. You can also enjoy the white fine sand beach.
Beach area extend to offer lifeguards, watchtowers, seats, changing rooms. Swimming Pools divided into three for children and adults. Mini-stores where also available inside and nothing to worry about in-case, you didn't bring your own foods.
Al Mamzar Beach Park offers barbecue stalls with complete sets of grills, tables, chairs and umbrellas. The park also obtain food kiosk, bicycle rental, kids playground area, roller skating area and Amphi Theater equipped to held various musical ceremonies.

There's a lot you'd be missing without stopping Emirate desert.
Experience and enjoy the Dubai desert safari adventure, the trill of a roller coaster ride on the massive sand dunes of the Arabian desserts.
So happy to have a good hearted friend who used to work in Travel and Tours company here in Dubai.
Gladly she made all the arrangement for our safari adventure with discounted staff rate.
Afternoon pick up point and Night drop point at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Deira via Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 heading to Hatta road going to Oman. As soon as we arrived at the dessert site we advise to fasten our seat-belts, then driver drove the 4x4 twists and turn on higher slope. We stopped in the middle of the desert to try thrill of sandboarding and enjoying the fine-smooth sand.
After that we headed to campfire where you can get relaxed, to have our free dinner and dig into typical Arabian dishes like Hammus and Barbeque chicken.
Watched local entertainment performing belly dancing and the traditional Arabic Tanoura dance which is usually performed by sufi men who keep on going around like the dervish dance in Levant and Turkey. They used long colorful skirts that make a beautiful image when swirling around.

TIPs: Free Henna body painting. Don't try to hold and take picture with the Falcon in camp as they will charge you (10AED). Camel and Bike ride is excluded for the tour package.
